Continued from Part 1
So you send a message to Mrs Smith asking to her to confirm her postal address, but she can’t be bothered to reply to you for three weeks, so eBay now escalate the dispute, so you send a message to eBay informing them of your dilemma and the reply you get from eBay is as follows, due to your account being restricted we may not respond to your messages but they will be read. That’s a real confidence booster, basically they don’t give a SH**T, their job is to protect the buyer, now bear in mind Mrs Smith has paid £2.00 for a product, I have paid £100’s in listing fees over the years, I am a powerseller with an unblemished record before the crash. You tell them that you are doing everything you can to resolve this dispute. Now you can’t get to the history in your account to confirm the purchase details, now I know what you are thinking check the details recorded in your PayPal account. So I logged in to my PayPal and couldn’t find a purchase from Mrs Smith, so could not issue a refund.

Mrs Smith finally finds the time to reply to tell you that she paid by Cheque, finally we can resolve the issue so I send Mrs Smith £10.00 for the inconvienience and as a gesture of goodwill. She doesn’t reply, you tell eBay, they don’t give a SH**T (remember) so they don’t reply or acknowledge, only to send you a reminder that your monthly fees are due, because what I also forgot to tell you was that although your account was restricted you are still being charged for your eBay shop (which you cant now sell from and also for other facilities like you 50mb picture manager, so I pay the fees, then the next email I get from eBay is as follows this is the actual email they sent to me on 13th May 2007.

Actual Message from eBay:
Previously we sent you a notice advising you that your account was restricted and allowing you a thirty day period of limited access to resolve feedback issues with your buyers, and to conclude any outstanding transactions you may have if applicable.

Thirty days have now elapsed and we’ve reviewed your account again. Unfortunately there has not been a significant improvement in your account standing so your account has been indefinitely suspended. Your account will not be considered for reinstatement and you’re prohibited from using eBay in any way, including registering new accounts.

Please be aware that you can not close your eBay account while it is suspended, and this suspension doesn’t relieve you of your obligation to pay any fees that you may owe to eBay.
