January 2009 Birthdays are a great time to reflect
on life and confirm you are on target to reach your primary goals. As I grow
older I realise how precious time is, the years seem to fly by so if you are
not planning your future and setting goals now I advise you to do it, don't put
it off make a plan and follow it, change it, reassess it, but most of all make
a plan.
As a former serviceman planning was a fundamental part of my
training, but It's only now that I see the real importance of planning my own
future, while also helping to influence my childrens future. Just writing down
your ideas can make all the difference so do it.
The problem many
people face is that they simply sit at their computers and read similar
statements about the importance of planning and say to themselves "I know all
that" or "yes all this stuff is common sense" but they end up doing nothing. My
advice to anyone who wants to confirm whether or not they are applying the
principles of planning, is on your next birthday look back over the previous
year, and if you are no further forward than you where the year before apart
from being another year older, then you are not applying the common sense of
planning.
The easiest way to create your plan
is to first start by identifying your desired result.
This
is a visual example of my desired result to be reached before my next Birthday,
I hereby state on my next Birthday I will be 50 years old and I
will own and be diving a car similar
to this Bentley Continental Flying Spur
