Has the world gone Twitter Crazy?

At the time of writing this Twitter had just received a major plug on primetime TV and News programmes in the UK. As a result of this it lead to many people rushing to join Twitter to follow their favourite celebrity or TV personality. In the hope they would follow them back. I saw evidence of this when I carried out a search for people using Twitter within my local region, I found that the vast majority of new Twitterers who had just joined where following Stephen Fry @stephenfry who was one of the guest on a famous TV show here in the UK. This was evident simply by seeing who the first person they had listed as following.

However the main point of this section in my blog is to highlight the importance of Social Networking, if you have listened to the video introduction above you will be aware that Twitter can be a valuable weapon in your Internet Marketing armoury, if used correctly.

You can follow me on Twitter I will follow you back, if I find you are interesting, to some that may sound a little obnoxious, many people will follow anyone simply to play the numbers game, I know a few people who get a kick out of having thousands of followers , actually its not that hard to do but I would much rather follow someone out of interest than just to make up the numbers.

Above all one of the main points of social media is to connect with like minded people there is so much you can learn from others, just add your own personality and style and you will succeed in anything you choose do.
